Blogpost 8: Young Anxiety

Like what I say, everyone might have anxiety its either old people or young people. Even an innocent child have an anxiety depends on the situation that she or he have. Many of us start to have or experience anxiety begin in our childhood days because sometimes when we are a child persons around us are train us that there is a bad effect if we don't follow then and that is one of the traits for me the cause of anxiety in childhood.

Anxiety is the feeling of fear or panic. Most people feel anxious, panicky or fearful about situations in life, such as money problems or exams but often once the difficult situation is over, you feel better and calmer. Sometimes the feelings of fear or anxiety continue after the difficult situation or sometimes you may feel a stronger sense of fear than other people and this is when anxiety becomes a problem and can affect you doing every day things.

I have read an article entitled Young People with Anxiety written by Christina Elena Romero Vacas from the website of  Anxiety UK . It talks about here what are the reason why a young person have an anxiety and what is the cause of them.

"Anxiety is a condition that can affect anyone – it doesn’t distinguish between age, background or social group. Even some of the most confident people you know may have suffered with anxiety. Recent research suggests that as many as 1 in 6 young people will experience an anxiety condition at some point in their lives, this means that up to 5 people in your class may be living with anxiety, whether that be OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), social anxiety and shyness, exam stress, worry or panic attacks."

When I'm reading this article I can relate myself to the topic. It catch my attention when I read that everyone might have an anxiety even if your adult or young. Even if the most confident people has an anxiety.

There's an article that really caught my attention entitled "Anxiety can be overlooked in children" by Kathy Eugster in this site "kathyeugster" that article talks about how young or children can hold there anxiety and if its critical or not.

"Children experience various states of fear and anxiety from the moment they are born. Sometimes it is easy to tell if a child is anxious by their crying and clinging behaviors. But sometimes, it is difficult to identify anxiety in children. Some children hide their anxiety because it is too difficult for them to express it to others. Some children turn their anxiety into angry tantrums or defiant behaviors."

I agree with that children cannot hide there fear or anxiety because it so hard even if an adult can't hide his or her own anxiety. I think sharing or saying or consulting a person for your anxiety gives relief to your spiritual and mental thinking.

The causes vary and it's not always easy to work out. Anxiety disorders tend to 'run in families' which may be due to genetics, and may be because a child learns anxious behaviours from their family. People who are easily upset, very sensitive and emotional, who are shy and inhibited as children are more likely to develop an anxiety disorder. Biochemical differences within the brain may also play a part.

Blogpost 7: Anxiety affects Decision Making

"I made decisions that I regret, and I took them as learning experiences. I'm human, not perfect, like anybody else." by Queen Latifah. In every decision that we do, we must need to think of it carefully before putting of an action to it. All of us want to know what are the affects of anxiety in decision making. It is hard for a person to do his or her decision when anxiety attacks because  there is a trait that a person become not optimistic or putting self down.

In article that I have read entitled Anxiety Affects Decision Making  written by Dr. Elizabeth Phelps and Dr. Catherine Hartley from the website
European Commission . They found out what are the affects of anxiety in decision making and how  it result to a person. It talks about what is the connection or role of anxiety in decision making.

"According to Dr Phelps, their findings underline that science is 'starting to gain some traction by combining emerging decision science with the study of anxiety"

Based on experienced it is really that anxiety afffects decision or decision making because you lose control to think smart or to think naturally. There is a time that during an exam anxiety attack on me and my decision in my exam are not in focus. Focus is the one you lose when you have anxiety. It says there that the overlap in the neural systems underlying anxiety and decision-making provides some insight into how fear and anxiety alters choices.

According to the website Healthy Place written by Tanya Peterson and Anthony D' Aconti entitled Big Decisions. It says that how big decisions do and what are the anxiety therefore. It says also here the feeling when you have a decision and what are the result after doing that.

"The word decision means “to kill” as we are killing the choice not taken. Sometimes we feel grief for what we pass up even though the decision is clear. It is a loss. But it also frees us. Once we make the choice we can now commit to the option we pick. There is no right choice, we pick something and then make it the “right” one. A freedom comes out of it. If any of you has been stuck making a decision, you know what I am talking about."

In this article I learned a lot and it defines what is the literal meaning of a big decision. I learned that every big decisions that we made are setting us free but sometimes it is a loss and I will in this article there is no a right choice we must do something to make it right.

Anxiety about decision making enters when he ruminates over decisions from the past that did not seem to pan out. This regret serves us only to decide differently the next time. Holding onto that guilt just causes self doubt. The point of the guilt is to bring awareness to the next decision. To act.

Blogpost 6: Fear and Anxiety

Most of us make some distinction between fear and anxiety. Sometimes it's merely a matter of linguistics. We say we have a fear of something and anxiety about something. Sometimes we distinguish the two by our bodily experience. I'm sure you're aware that the fear is different than the anxiety. The sudden re-arrangement of your guts when an intruder holds a knife to your back and that is fear, is different from the mild nausea, dizziness and butterflies in your stomach as you're about to make a difficult phone call and that is anxiety.

I have read an article entitled Fear and Anxiety Produce an Stress Response written by Kaplan and Sadock from the site Panic Disorders. In this article that I have read it talks about how fear and anxiety produce stress response and what is the importance for. And it is like a trivia for the readers.

"Muscle tension, increased heart rate, and shortness of breath are a few of the physiological symptoms associated with a response to danger. These bodily changes occur due to an inborn fight-or-flight stress response that is believed to be necessary for our survival. Without this stress response, our mind would not receive the alerting danger signal, and our bodies would be unable to prepare to flee or stay and battle when faced with danger."

I learned that there's a response produce by fear and anxiety. I know now that when the response come from my  mind it will receive a alert signal or warning for our body to be able to prepare to face to the uncertainties.

According from the site Medical Health Foundation written by Jenny Edwards and the article entitled  Fear and Anxiety. In this article that I have read, anxiety is just a type of fear.

"Anxiety is a type of fear. It is usually associated with the thought of a threat or something going wrong in the future, rather than something happening right now."

The article defines anxiety as a thought of something going wrong in the future, rather than something happening now. I learned that anxiety is just a type of fear.

Poor people repeatedly stress the anxiety and fear they experience because they feel insecure and vulnerable. Most say they feel less secure and more vulnerable today than in previous times. They describe security as stability and continuity of livelihood, predictability of relationships, feeling safe and belonging to a social group. Forms and degrees of security and insecurity vary by region and differ by gender. Women are vulnerable to abuse and violence in the home, when widowed, and in the workplace. Men, particularly young men, are more likely to be picked up by the police.

Blogpost 5: Anxiety vs. Stress

Everyone experiences stress and anxiety at one time or another. The differences between them is that stree is a response to a threat in a situation. Anxiety is a reaction to the stress. Stress can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry or nervous. Anxiety is a feeling of fear, unease and worry. The source of these symptoms is not always known. You may have a harder time focusing, feel tired most of the time or lose your temper more often. Stress and anxiety may also cause sexual problems. I can also cause problems with falling or staying asleep and nightmares.

I have read an article entitled Anxiety different to Stress written by Justin Tranz from the website Health Status. In this article it talks about the difference of anxiety to stress and common to them and how it affects the people. It talks also here how people adopt or get this disorders or problems.

"Symptoms of anxiety and stress are driven by the same chemical reaction; stress is a normal response to a threatening situation and anxiety is largely caused by worry. ‘Anxiety’ and ‘stress’ are just two different words to describe the same experience and the symptoms are of a higher heart rate, sweaty palms, churning stomach. Anxiety is usually perceived as more short-term, whereas stress can last for weeks, months, or even years."

As far as I read this article I really enjoyed myself to read this topic because I have several discoveries that I found like stress are the same to anxiety but others says that is different and connecting to my topic I feel stressed that time because my mind is conscious what side I will believe.

According to the site Calm Clinic written by Ryan Rivera and the article entitled Stress and Anxiety. In this article that I have read it talks about how anxiety and stress came from and how it is different to each other and to others.

"Stress and anxiety are not entirely different conditions. In many ways, anxiety may be considered long term stress, and long term stress may be a component of an anxiety disorder. Their similarities and relationships are some of the reasons that those that experience any one for a long period of time often experience the other for much longer."

Based on my experience stress are common to me like anxiety and I can say that anxiety is a longer period of stress but others say stress is another form or result of anxiety like depression.

Most people experience stress and anxiety from time to time. Stress can be triggered by an event that makes you feel frustrated or nervous. Anxiety is a feeling of fear, worry, or unease. Examples of normal stress and anxiety include worrying about finding a job, feeling nervous before a big test, or being embarrassed in certain social situations. However, if stress and anxiety begin interfering with your daily life, it may indicate a more serious issue. If you are avoiding situations due to irrational fears, constantly worrying, or anxious about a traumatic event weeks after it happened, it may be time to seek help.

Blogpost 4: Levels of Anxiety

In every person their is different level of anxiety. Not all of us have the same tension, phobia or fear off. We all experience anxiety in everyday life, and it always manifests differently for each person. It is important to recognize or to identify the fear, phobias or stresses in your life that cause different levels of anxiety, so that you can incorporate proper coping mechanisms or get the appropriate medical treatment.

I have read an article entitled Levels of Anxiety written by Nanda from the site  Nanda Nursing Invention. The article that I have read is all about the different levels of anxiety and how this levels classify people. It talks about also how levels differentiate with others.

"Mild Anxiety is a feeling that something is different and requires special attention. Increased sensory stimulation and helps the individual focus of attention for learning and protect themselves. At this level of perception of land to widen and individuals will be cautious and vigilant."

Based on my experience most of people I know, have this level of anxiety. It shows increasing blood pressure the result of that to a person is it may have wrinkled face and that is true because I experience that every time I'm feel anxious my friends to that I will get an ugly face and have wrinkled face.

I found another level of anxiety in this article that I have saw and read and that is entitled Different levels of Anxiety written by Jojo Genden from the site Lives trong. It talks also the differents levels of anxiety and how it affects to people. And its all about explanation what are leveks of anxiety.

"Severe Anxiety if you can't stop getting a feeling that something bad is about to happen you may be experiencing severe anxiety. At this level, it seems impossible to solve problems and your focus is completely scattered. You may feel at a loss about what to do without outside direction because your awareness of your surroundings is significantly narrowed."

For me one of the easy way to take away this level of anxiety is to learn how to relax or to keep calm because it is stopping you to think negative or stop you to be panic. People encounter this level when there is a big or serious problem and that is my opinion.

Not all of us have a anxiety and not all of us have the same level of anxiety and I learned that a person that have anxiety can experience different level of anxiety based on what situation they have.

Blogpost 3: Anxiety vs. Depression

Anxiety and depression have some similar symptoms and can often cause one another. There are ways to tell which one a person suffers from by looking at all the symptoms that are present. In addition, the causes are similar, but genetics plays a role in the chance of getting one or the other. All these things should be taken into account when treatment is sought. A feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome that is anxiety and depression is a severe despondency and dejection, accompanied by feelings of hopelessness and inadequacy. Anxiety and depression can be affect in any age.

According to Psych Central by Harold Cohen entitled Depression versus Anxiety. In this article that I have read it talks about  how anxiety differentiate to depression and what are the common of them. It says also how was the the feeling of being depressed and of being anxious.

"Many people mistakenly believe that most depressed people have no energy. But that is not always the case, as some people with depression often experience one form or another of anxiety"

In my experience I am more in anxiety. Every time that I feel fears or tensions and  pains I think I am anxious not depressed because depression means to me hopeless or sad and for me depression is only a result of anxiety. In this article I understand what is the difference of anxiety and depression. Being anxious or depressed are big and hard challenge but both can be eliminate.

In the article that I read entitled Anxiety and Depression together by David Barlow in Psychology Today. It stated that anxiety and depression had similarities and have differences also. It stated also that a depression is like pushing your feelings down and that the result of person to be sad or hopeless.

"Anxiety is a kind of looking to the future, seeing dangerous things that might happen in the next hour, day or weeks. Depression is all that with the addition of 'I really don't think I'm going to be able to cope with this, maybe I'll just give up.' It's shutdown marked by mental, cognitive or behavioral slowing."

In everyday life many of us what will happen in our life, it might be good or bad but in anxiety it always seeking for a negative way. Like when a student have a quiz on a certain subject the student always think that she or he will fail the test but the student have confidence to pass the test. In depression the student also think that she or he might fail the test and this situation the student have no self confidence in short she or he is hopeless. Based on my experience the anxiety and depression are mix to myself sometimes I have confidence to face my problems but their at times that I am to hopeless to face it.

Two of the most common disorders in the world are anxiety and depression. Both also have their own sub-disorders. While they are technically different disorders, they also share a lot in common, and their similarities and relationship may affect your treatment. Anxiety creates a feeling of discomfort and often has a lot more energy. Depression, on the other hand, doesn't have that fear. Depression centers around the idea that life is already bad, with less hope about getting better.
